Good point about NO American flag. Fifty thousand people and NOT ONE American flag.

Indeed. That was 60,000 - and every parish was complaining about how few tickets they had received.

John Paul II easily filled Belmont Park with 90,000 people a few years back.

If Benedict XVI had agreed to celebrate Mass in Central Park he would have gotten 300,000 easily.

The reason why he visited the venues he did was due to security concerns,

Seattle gets more rain. Only difference.

Good trivia knowledge! Portland 36.3 inches of rain per annum, Seattle 37.1!

"75,000 attend Obama rally in Portland!"

HELLO DADDY, HELLO MAMA (A Letter from Camp Obama)
Tune: "Hello Muddah, Hello Fadduh (A Letter from Camp)" Original

Hello Daddy
Hello Mama
Here I am at
Camp Obama
Camp's as pretty
As a painting
And they say we'll have some fun if we stop fainting

Our Barack has
Gifts of healing
Stevie Wonder's
Out four-wheeling
I met Oprah
Over dinner
Since she's been here she's got thirteen inches thinner

All the campers
Drink the Kool-Aid
That the counselors
At the school made
This is change we
Can believe in
'Cause the campers who come in here won't be leavin'

Now I just thought
I should buy ya
A small bust of
Our Messiah
You can put it
On your dashboard
It will guide and guard your car so it won't crash more

Yes we can!
Oh Daddy, Mama!
Yes we can!
I love Obama!
Don't tell me
I ought to find out facts
Of how
He plans to spend and tax

Yes we can!
I promise he will
Heal the holes
That cause the problems
In our souls
Oh please don't make me say
Just how--
He'll find a way

Got to stop now
Looks like we're through
Camp Obama
Has a curfew
Every day it's
Early rising
After "Washing of the Brains" it's "Plagiarizing"

Wait a minute
What's this gabbin'
Two new campers
In our cabin
See their nametags
Read the printin'
Seems the campers' names are Bill and Chelsea Clinton!

75,000! that tells you something!

It tells me what I already knew, that Oregon is the Netherlands of America.

Texas and Indiana were definitely swung by Limbaugh votes. Ohio was a wider margin of win for Hillary, but it appears that at least 5-7 of her points were Limbaugh crossovers

While I don't doubt that Rush made a difference....5-7 point worth? Wishful thinking.

Just because Dems move as a herd, doesn't mean that Republicans do. Lib projection is endlessly fascinating to me.

Can you imagine what it must have been like for Obama looking out on that sea of mostly white faces. . . .

White faces with eyebrow piercings and dreadlocks and tie-dyed NORML t-shirts.

You know who else used to get those numbers at his rallies? JOHN KERRY IN 2004!!!!!!

Obama is John Kerry without the experience.

Does that look photoshoped, or is it just me?

Was there a flock of golden retrievers flying overhead?

NOT A SINGLE AMERICAN FLAG IN THE CROWD.

That's a great point. Wonder if there's some photoshopping going on, or if Obama Believers are just that far to the left?

This is enormous... bigger than any rally for a single individual I have ever heard of. How does this compare to other "huge" rallies in the past? Do any of you know of rallies with more people than this?

I think a NORML rally draws 75,000 in Portland. Maybe GaiaFest, too.

As with Kerry in 2004, I always think of Gene McCarthy filling up Fenway with 40,000+ in 1968 and it was a foregone conclusion at that point he would not get even the Dim nomination. Obama still faces having to win some state any state that Bush took and hold on to all that Kerry took.

I am going to have "election" finger food for the two of us here, with our dogs, complete with lattes from our home machine to watch the returns.

Forget the latte, crack open the champagne bottles! Obama's going . . . ALL . . .THE . . . WAY!

WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is not a campaign. It's a movement!

Yeah, I had a similar kind of 'movement' this morning when I woke up.
