"...since McClintock received more votes than any Republican besides Schwarzenegger, it seems quite feasible that, with the Rohrabacher groups support, McClintock could have won the Governorship..."
I doubt it. McClintock is great on the issues, but his campaign was a charisma-free zone. Bustamante got way more votes; he would have won handily.
I hope Tom does well, but he has got to get a personality.

The governator is an stepping stone, halfway house, or methadone for California's voters. Quiting socialism cold turkey is than abandoning the vice of cigarette smoking.
FYI: Methadone (Dolophine, Amidone, Methadose, Physeptone, Heptadon and many others) is a synthetic opioid, used medically as an analgesic, antitussive and a maintenance anti-addictive for use in patients on opioids. IOW, it helps heroine addicts break their vice.

"Bustamante got way more votes; he would have won handily."Really? Doesn't square with what I recall.
Lets submit it to our official researcher on California politics and see what she has on it.

I can’t argue with anything you said. But, you seem to have completely missed my point about Arnold not standing up for the Electorate.
