Oh Canada (account about their current gun and gun control politics)

I spent the last three weeks on a Central American cruise and fell in with a group of Canadians in the smoking lounge. They have an interesting debate about guns up there. The man who seemed most interesting was an Inspector with Violent Crimes RCMP. Not all we are told about violent crime in Canada is true.

The Inspector told me that while Canada as a whole has less guns deaths than the United States and less violent deaths than us the official numbers are less than honest. In Canada you have a death unknown until someone is tried and convicted. Our murder rates and not paired equally. He told me Victoria, Vancouver had a HIGHER rate of armed home invasions than Seattle, Washington for several years. So they decided that entry through an unlocked door or window was merely and unlawful entry. Clever.

It seems much of rural and western Canada is damn near in revolt over a Long Gun registration law. The folks just won't do it. Three times now the Federal government has deferred enforcement and local jurisdictions are afraid to. The Inspector with Violent Crimes RCMP tells me they are having a problem getting young policemen to sign up. It seems the Police Departments themselves appreciate the youngman but the Justice Ministry is liable to mark his file "overly fascinated with guns".

But I met other Canadians who are convinced we have plows on our cars to push the dead bodies out of the way. The gungrabbers have done their evil work well.

Fascinating! I knew they had a virtual revolt against the draconian gun regulations, but didn't know it went this far.

I have a brother-in-law in Canuckistan-Wyevale, Ontario to be precise. He once told me on a visit here that only the police and armed forces should have firearms.

BTW, the only time you’ll ever see me in that God-forsaken socialist paradise is when he dies. I’m up there for the funeral, then gone...THAT fast!
