Remember the old Westerns? The cowboys would ride into town whose one street was lined by stores with false fronts.

One of my favorite scenes is the Blazing Saddles scene where the hero installs a toll booth in the desert to slow down the bad guys. They are all stopped there while they dig through their pockets for change. Unfortunately, today's political picture has a lot in common with that scene.
