I have never understood why women who should know better and who have enough money to do it right, still insist on wearing black shoes with anything other than black. It looks stupid, especially when you just paid tons for a really neat and flattering dress in a beautiful vivid color. Why not at least try to match the shoes to the dress??? It detracts from the outfit to wear black (or any other color) shoes with a dress that isn't black!
Oh well ... just old fashioned me.
