Such wonderful memories from that time. I was a noob on FR, and hadn't signed up for the ping list, but I was a faithful reader then (DUmmie FUnnies was the main reason I signed up here--IIRC it was the Ty the Bouncer episode). 'Twas Fitzmas that made me get on the pinglist.
I remember I had the perception at the time that DUFUs were less frequent during FReepathons so I started donating to move them along faster. Been donating ever since because, even though I know it not to be the case, you can never be too careful:-)
