Your comment is a good example of how people can be duped by well financed propaganda based on junk science. After you study some more, you will be surprised at who was flat earther here.

While smoking is statistically associated with heart disease, so are visits to cardiologists. Statistical association is not a synonym for causal association.

Tobacco smoke happens to have several protective properties against the causes of heart and other vascular diseases. Nicotine, for example, stimulates vascular growth factor and, along with its derivatives, is used in heart medications (see also here or here). Nitric oxide in low concentration, as found in tobacco smoke, acts as signaling molecule stimulating circulation (Viagra effect, vasodilation). Carbon monoxide in low concentration of cigarette smoke also acts as signaling molecule improving oxygenation of tissues and protecting cells against inflammatory damage (see more links here and here).
