I’m a conservative from the San Francisco Bay Area. I’ve lost at least 90% of the political campaigns I’ve ever participated in and I work as a volunteer in campaigns regularly.
I have NEVER seen whining like this from anybody who worked in any of those loosing campaigns. You suck it up and move on to the next fight. (But the victories have been sooooo sweet - 1980 Reagan, 1994 Congress, Prop 187, Prop 209).
I really don’t think that there are any conservatives who whine like that.

That’s a rough front for a conservative, but just like you said, the victories are sweet. I don’t know about Prop 187 or 209, but I remember prop 13 (we heard about it all the way here in Ohio, and I was too young to know what conservative even meant then, but I knew it was a good idea; how’s that for putting a run-on sentence into parentheses? Hmmmm?)
In 2004 I spoke at a Keyes rally. It was late October and we knew thre was no way in the world he wasn't going to get crushed, but we went out there and had fun standing together for good government. There was none of the bitterness I've seen from DUmmies who've lost one. They really don't have lives outside of following the latest big government scammer.
