ST. LOUIS (Map, News) - Federal airline regulators said Wednesday that 24 jets operated by commuter airline company Trans States Airlines Inc. were grounded because they do not meet safety standards.
Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman Elizabeth Cory said the airline reported the problem Tuesday and the aircraft were being checked.

AA will declare bankruptcy because of the FAA’a stunt. And we will be getting more business, it starts on the 1st of June. But with that will come come more FAA exposure..
You’re saying that AA will declare bankruptcy by Jun 1st? Or you guys just plan on more business by then?
While the stunt will cost AA upwards of 30 million dollars, AA has close to 5 billion in cash reserves. I think the pilots union is going to be the biggest factor in any upcoming bankruptcy. That’s not to say that the FAA isn’t a part of it.
