I like both shows. BL tends to repeat the last 30 seconds or so of events that took place before the commercial break, which makes it easy to flip between shows. I'll sometimes miss a singer on AI but can usually see it the next day on youtube or some similar medium.

That wasn’t my original purpose at all, but, as I said, if these people are going to take it that seriously, I don’t consider myself the one with the problem.
I too, flip between stations, but last night was the Biggest Loser finale which appealed to me more than some tired, rehashed Mariah Cary tunes which I do not know and have no intention of knowing. To say this is the best crop of American Idol finalists they have ever had is a joke.

How silly. I never said I took BL seriously. I just said it was better than Idol last night. That’s like asking who has contributed more to the building of Western civilization: the Three Stooges or Abbott and Costello?
