Personally, after 30+ years of being a moderate Democrat, I got so disgusted at the growing liberal snobbery that I switched sides.

As James Lileks said in today's Bleat:
"What annoyed me about the Obama comments was the crude reduction of everything into economic terms, the most dismal prism through which to regard humanity. So the factories close, and the sullen mass of the lowly workers ball their fists, feel a strange sour bolus of resentment bolting up their throat, and think: must channel confusing - emotions- into unreasoning opposition to redefining marriage. If the factories magically reappear, does everyone sigh with relief, quit church and drop off their guns? I have money! No need for the Magic Carpenter and that poorly-worded amendment. Call off the border patrol, too therell be jobs and upward wage pressure for everyone. Its not exactly an unusual thesis; Ive encountered it for years. People cannot possibly believe these crazy things for their own sake; they must be driven to them by external forces.

Appropriated? Hell, it IS Marxism.

In his despicable remarks, Obama has revealed himself to be one of the most dangerous of all despots, a utilitarian Marxist.
This is the philosophy that allowed the Communists in Russia to murder millions of their countrymen because they didn’t fit into their Marxist agenda...the farmers in the Ukraine, for example. If you dare to buck the official agenda, you are eliminated, and your family with you, as an example to anyone else who might oppose you.
Obama’s early choice of being a “community organizer”, telling poor, unintelligent Blacks what to do because he was so much smarter, his mentor Saul Alinsky, his Leftist mother...it is not hard to see who this man is.

This is a
spot on article. It's surprising that only five people have noticed it.
