Shanghai Daily

In an accidental admission today a report on the Shanghai Daily web page admits that Tibetans are not Chinese.

"In Los Angeles, the Chinese American community has been enraged by "Tibet independence" activists' attempts to disrupt the global torch relay of the Beijing Olympics and some prominent members have acted to fight back, the Los Angeles Times reported on Friday."

Read this carefully. They are saying that Chinese people do not support the Tibetan cause. Chinese people are "enraged" On one hand they claim Tibet and Tibetans are Chinese. But now we find out that anyone who supports Tibetan independence is not Chinese. How else can the "Chinese" be "enraged" So according to this Tibetans support independence therefore they are not Chinese. Thanks for the admission guys.

I signed this petition with the following

“I only sign this to show you what idiots you really are. He was talking about the goons and thugs in your Government. Not the people. You really need to learn English.”

No one really takes these things seriously so I suggest that we can take this thing over. Really piss em off.

They constantly refer to them as Tibetans and usually in a derogatory way. It seems as if the ChiComs can’t even see how absurdly hypocritical they are. “They have always been a part of China!” Except for that whole line of Tibetan kings and the Tibetan people thing.

There's more to that. The chinese people call themselves Hua Ren (华人)which means the people of Hua. This includes anyone who is Chinese from a historical and traditional sense. The term has been used for a vey long time and even the name for China in Chinese is ZhongHua RenMin Gonghe Guo(中华人民共和国 ) or the People's Republic of China. However, the concept of Hua doesn't extend beyond the province of Sichuan which is often called HuaXi(华西) or West Hua. Tibet and Xinjiang lie to the west of Sichuan, thus removing any "historic" claims the Chinese themselves have on Tibet.

Thank you. That really is enlightening about the Chinese mindset. It clarifies a lot of the seemingly nonsensical verbiage we hear from Beijing and the apologists who echo Beijing.
