UPDATE: I just popped over to Mr. Ruiz's My Space Page. http://www.myspace.com/hustlersunion215

This guy is nothing more than a punk with delusions of grandeur. What a crock - all that moral pontificating yet his blog is full of comments using the "n" word and other vulgarities. Enjoy your 15 minutes Ruiz. Your legacy will pale in comparison to that of the Marines you slandered to promote your line of hip-hop clothing.

The depiction of cold-blooded murder in Battle for Haditha is complete fiction masquerading as truth. It is contradicted by forensic evidence and witness testimony. The scene, as played by Ruiz, at the white taxi might have sprung from the imagination of John Murtha...

In fact, SSgt Wuterich fired on the white taxi from a distance (his vehicle is labeled as 4 in the diagram below)....

SSgt Wuterich's view was obstructed by a tractor trailer bed, the height of the white vehicle and a mound of dirt (see aerial photo below, SSgt Wuterich was positioned to the east).

NCIS forensics determined there was a second shooter to the north, which is consistent with SSgt Wuterich's statement that he engaged after another Marine fired first.

In reality, the incident at the white taxi was nothing like the depiction in the film.

Another anti-military, antiwar, anti-American flick that will bomb at the boxoffice.

The guy should be ashamed and the movie needs to be exposed as the pro-Jihadist propaganda that it is.

For those not familiar with the history of sleaze cinema, it is epitomized by the infamous Ed Wood, Jr. stinkeroo, Glen or Glenda, made way back in 1953.

It exploited headlines of the first sex change operation, but actually was all about Ed Wood's desire to wear his wife's clothing. In its first run, Glen or Glenda was seen by a few hundred people in Los Angeles and New York grindhouses.

Battle for Haditha is sharing the same audience-challenged fate, and will play in art houses in New York and Philadelphia.

"...We improvised half the d*mned movie. "....

Hey, maybe Eliot Ruiz should go work for NCIS.

"...We improvised half the damned movie. Nick would just stand back and say, 'This is the scene, do what you would do'..."

Wow, this guy Broomfield is quite a movie maker. Watch out, Hollywood.

Thanks for the ping.

Only wish there were guarantees of 'quick-Karma' for the human debris that passes under the cloak of 'intelligent citizenship'.

(How about a 'stealth-flyer' plan; whereby a 'fair assessment of this movie is left on the windsheilds of cars in theater area; and on table at the Starbucks next door.

And same 'promo' for other issues; when so invited by a car supporting an 'Obama sticker' or Hillary for Prez. . . A quiet and discreet activism, if you will...)

Good column. I can only wish I were closer to Philadelphia so we could organize a good Freep on his next “public appearance.”

Thanks for the Ping, Red

"Ruiz and his acting comrades were improvising actions and dialogue that amount to nothing more than slander. The movie was filmed prior to the completion of the first Article 32 hearing so there was no review of the facts in the cases before presenting this atrocity of a movie to the public."

Is it possible for the Haditha Marines to sue the filmmaker, Nick Broomfield, for slander??

Releasing this film prior to all legal preceedings being finalized is totally irresponsible. An absolute shame.

Did anyone see this?

Another CBS News series, “60 Minutes,” was awarded a Peabody for “The Killings in Haditha,” a Scott Pelley report that questioned the conventional wisdom about the worst single killing of civilians by U.S. soldiers since Vietnam.

Good piece, CW. I don’t think there’s much doubt that this will bomb and bomb big.

Red, is this Ruiz the turkey HollywoodPOS or is he another sorry piece of dung?
