Steffanie Renae, an 11 year old friend of daughter's, is an extremely talented singer. This week she represented Florida in the North American Country Music Awards International competition in Pigeon Forge Tennessee, near Gatlinburg.
Just to represent Florida, she already had to win a series of competitions at county fairs. At the 2008 NACMAI, out of about 500 finalsts in the 12 and under category, she came in first. Steffanie won both female Vocalist of the Year, and Entertainer of the Year.
It's hard to believe, when you hear her, that she is only 11 years old. If you go to her website, you can hear six of her songs that are posted on a rotating basis. You will be able to say that you heard Steffanie Renae, before she became a famous national recording artist. Check out the website, and brighten your day. She sings everybody from Patsy Cline to Martina McBride. (Independence Day was won of her competition songs on Friday.) She even sings classics like "Cowboy Sweetheart," complete with perfect-pitch octave shifting yodeling. Go ahead, visit her website, and you will be able to say, "I knew her when..."
Steffanie Renae is going to be a star, and she is one of the nicest and sweetest girls you will ever know.
See pictures and hear her music here.
I’ve heard her sing live, and she knows dozens of classic country songs. They just set up this myspace site, and they can only put on about 6 songs at a time.

Congratulations to a pretty girl.
She's got a bright future ahead of her.

Yeah, there is a lot of risk that comes along with being a “child star.”
I’m thinking she’ll be relocating from FL to TN pretty soon. Unless she moves to Orlando. She could do some of the country shows there, like Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede.
That’s so cool. That’s a real feat to win that. Now I should read the thread to see who this is about.
They’ve got to start at that age up there. Good for her.
She sounds better than Hannah you know who.
