well, maybe given this mess, i'd sooner take "rich & crazy". my aunt was NEITHER, but her affairs are a MAJOR muddle (many things in her last years were left "to slide".).

Do you know what nursing school your aunt went to? If so, why don’t you contact them about her notes? I’m sure they have archives on the methods/classes taught there since its beginning.
