Did you know that face didn’t like sparrows when she was ten?
Bob, did you know that I used to cut worms in half, because someone told me it would make 2 worms?
DC, what do you know about all this?
Don’t love sparrows, myself, but the catz find them thrilling! We have nicer birds around.
Worms?
We used to go hunting night crawlers, then the next morning, we’d take them out of the cans and put them on the hot sidewalk, and/or use a magnifying glass on them. Or on any insects we could find.
I could run farther than the boys, climb higher, and I won all their marbles by the middle of third grade, so they didn’t want to have anything to do with me....
I never could figure that out. Bunch of sore losers.
Face hadn't read "To Kill a Mockingbird" by that point. Atticus' father had told him it was okay to target bluejays, but that it was a sin to kill a mockingbird.
"Bob, did you know that I used to cut worms in half, because someone told me it would make 2 worms?"
That trick will work with starfish.
"DC, what do you know about all this?"
It was fifteen degrees colder here than is seasonal. Considering where DC lives, that could mean he's a Dead Corpsicle.
I know that I can now expertly install a Door. Interior or Exterior. I know that I can do most of my own plumbing. I am now experimenting with polyurethane/stains on oak.
Haven't gotten into the gardening aspect yet. Still trimming dead branches out of oak and ash trees, clearing brush that was just dumped along the tree line, fixing cars, painting, organizing, recycling cardboard boxes, ect...
Haven't even figured out how to cut my worms in half yet. However, from my experience with Red Wiggler's and Nightcrawlers, you can cut a worm in half and it'll regrow it's tail. While this does leave you with two pieces of worm, only the one with a "head" end on it will still be living.
