Time to go. I’m on deck to serve this morning, with the Archbishop present.

"Perhaps you should make a trip to the Left Coast and return the favor: Steal the rain and cloudy skies." This is Maryland.
What kind of weather do you think we're having now?
(For answer, click on my name and scroll to the bottom of the page. You'll see a weather map of the East Coast. It updates every fifteen minutes.)

I KNOW what you’re having! The weather always goes west to east in this country, and most of it for the last eight months has been in the northern section. Or sweeping from south to north in its journey east. We keep getting the winds from all the Low Fronts that sion gets, and that eventually make it to your ‘hood.
I don’t like any of it very much!

Just consider it to be life at the bottom of the rainspout.

I suspect I can’t top that one....don’t think I’d want to, even. Exit: Stage Left.

Afternoon! I put Vlad to bed when we got home from church at about 2:30, but he wasn’t very happy about it because his blanket wasn’t over his feet. (It’s hot, so I’ve replaced his big fleece blanket with a small cotton one.) DP misunderstood and thought he *didn’t* want the blanket over his feet.
When I realized he was still crying, I went up and put the blanket over his feet, patted his back, and said, “Take your nice nap, and then I’ll give you a broccoli supper!” and he said, “Thanks!” and sighed, “Broccoli and cauliflower ...”
I was making cauliflower curry to freeze, but I took a few pieces out before I made the sauce, so he can have them for supper!

LOL! (I LOVE that kid!)
I’m sorry it took me so long but I was trying to work with my MySpace site; I learned the hard way that if you use the MySpace backgrounds, you can’t use any others until you’ve deleted the default.
Anyway, now I like the way the background looks. I may change my mind (and the background) tomorrow or the next day, but for now, I like it!
Yesterday, my daughter gave me a bottle of “Bloom” wine from the Mosel region of Germany. I suspect I’ll tell her I want a six-pack for my birthday, next month! LOL!
I have no clue what to give her...

It won’t matter. Whatever I think of, she can afford it on her own. If I give her something she can afford, it should be something she hasn’t thought of. (Like, THAT’s gonna happen...)
I can’t even take her to lunch at a place she’s never been...*sigh*
Ohwell. At least I can say I’m her mom... ;o]

Hi, all. Drive-by here. Trying really hard to get here, but I have to finish some powerpoint slides today so I can send it to a colleague in the UK to incorporate in his powerpoint so he can submit the whole mess to somebody here in Redmond tomorrow.

I’d love to! Only, she’s pre-diabetic, so I hesitate to give her anything that even remotely resembles carbohydrates.
She seems to think that at 5’3” and 110, she’s immune to diabetes, even though her dad had it and a brother has it. I’m sure her half sister has it as well.
I suspect I’ll try to find something at efairies.com for her, though that’s getting harder every holiday....:o|
