Evening, y’all. DP, Bill, and Anoreth have gone to Waxhaw for a race. The guys will run, and Anoreth will mill about looking Cool.
I worked in the yard most of the afternoon, and I’m looking forward to a shower and some wine, when I get the Louder Offspring to bed. I had to cut the grass out from behind the rosebushes; only minor injuries, since I was wearing my big straw hat. I seem to have mutilated some clematis, but they’ll grow back.

Yahbut...Darks has some People-Eating furniture, and I was just wondering if you got it by mistake. It’s pretty lethal stuff. I guess only the Godess Kearen can subdue it all.

I want to mill about looking Cool...maybe, if I could get rid of this “feral” look I have...?
My mother loved clematis, and I want to plant roses (or buy some in pots) but I’m such a plant murderer that I don’t dare. I just can’t bear the thought of shriveled, wilted and/or dry plants, dead of too much of the wrong kind of care. Maybe I need an air fern, or a resurrection plant...?

Ficus are hard to kill, and so are peace lilies. We lost a rosebush in the drought last summer, and some other plant that I don’t remember what it was originally. That reminds me, I should go water the new plants in the back yard before I take a shower.
And Feral is in style :-).

Good night! I’m off to read and drink for a while (help with the back pain from the yardwork) and then I shall retire, probably with catz.

I planted several news the day before the main pipe to my strung a leak. I got the water back to the house the same day but it took me a few days to get the sprinklers back in service.

I’m back.
I told Sionnsar to follow the planes overhead to where they nest. They were landing at about one every five minutes.
He’ll be okay. We’re both out of practice at drinking.

Im back.
I told Sionnsar to follow the planes overhead to where they nest. They were landing at about one every five minutes. They got really upset when I tried to drive onto the tarmac!
Everything went fine until I got close. A couple of wrong turns took about 10 minutes to correct. Then the hotel didn't have any non-smoking rooms and were ready to direct to another when they decided to upgrade me. Upgrade? This Sheraton room is smaller than the Hampton Inn room I've been in all week, albeit a bit nicer, but about a third the size of the room I had last Saturday night. I must have gotten a double-plus upgrade then. (But then again at 1 AM they're not likely to sell any more rooms for one night.)
And then I had a blog that needed attention... so I'm on FR for a little bit, trying to find out what's happened in the world today.
