I keep noticing changes on here. Like my posts on the pings page is green. And I think my room was taken over by the zombies.

I think the zombies found my empty room and hid in there so they wouldn’t have to stay in the Lower Levels.

I need to get back to work. See you later!

It was a very nice funeral, for the mother of one of my church friends. She was from Cuba, and had been quite a Latin bombshell in her youth.

The few Cubans I’ve known have been active, funny, and even though they were beyond “youth” they still had that charisma that made them so appealing.
I’ve never met one who was anything but hard-working.

Hi, all. Am home a bit sooner than planned -- had a bit of a violent "episode" during lunch. Managed to get to the sink before burst two, and eventually to get everything cleaned up.
Then was able to sit down and finish reading the WSJ which somehow didn't get messed up at all. But the stomach still hurt (hopefully just an over-worked diagphram) so I wrapped up at work and came home. Fortunately I had done all my trip prep --printing the various documents I need-- before leaving work yesterday.
I'm supposed to fly out tomorrow...

Ohman. That’s ugly. That’s one of the worst feelings in the world. I hope you’re able to rest well tonight.

One our NC FReepers helps to relocate Cuban refugees, finds them jobs and apartments, counsels them about life in the U.S., and so on. He has wonderful stories to tell.
We don’t have a lot of Cubans in our parish, but quite a few Puerto Ricans, who are also fun and hard-working.

It's bad, but there are worse.
The ache is slowly diminishing. It may have been something in my lunch.

Thanks, T-C! I'm actually aiming for this afternoon. Every belch relieves some of the pressure, and I'm not feeling any other symptoms which by now should be well underway.
I remember a situation somewhat like this many, many years ago. I'd had 8 teeth taken out: four "corner" teeth in preparation for orthodontics, plus all wisdom teeth. Needless to say it was several weeks before I could eat any solid food again (and I learned how fragile thermos bottles were -- every time I dropped one there went my lunch for the day).
Finally one day I'd been driving up in the mountains but was getting really hungry on the way home. So I stopped at a Bob"s Big Boy (the only one I've ever seen on the west coast) and gingerly ate a burger and (even more gingerly) salad. Little did I know that minutes after I would get home the sto,ach flu would hit. Now THAT hurt! *\;-)
Holy cow! I thought some tea would help (since we're out of Vernor's -- I learned growing up that Vernor's is right behind chicken soup for what ails you), and I knew the built-in lazy susan was full of boxes of teas... several of Earl Grey, various breakfast, afternoon and "Christmas" teas, lots of berry teas, but not a single chamomile.

I’ve got some, if you want it. Also, peach tea, and cinnamon/almond....
If nothing else, make some cocoa and sprinkle some cinnamon in it. It will help!

Just tried some green tea, and it helped. Cocoa sounds good.
I've got to go do a little work for a bit (weekly report and timesheet), but I'll be back...
