A Frenchman for Mc Cain - The only true anti-Al Qaida politician in the USA ?

Dear Republicans,

I’m happy to be able to say a few words again on FreeRepublic, quite some time has passed since last time.

As some of you might remember, I’m a French citizen, I was (and still am) a forceful supporter or the Iraq War launched in 2003.

Most Americans will one day understand how vital it was to eliminate Saddam’s Regime. I sincerely regret that France did not participate in that war, (although we are contributing to the one in Afghanistan, with troops and money). Let’s not forget that in 2003 France had Jacques Chirac as President… a disaster.

I’m surprised to see how some of you here on Free Republic are picking on McCain. If you don’t support him you’ll get Obama or Clinton instead… I don’t think a true conservative want to contribute to that?

McCain will not run from Iraq as the other two will. You know very well that if the USA leaves Iraq it will become a new Al Qaida fortress in the Middle East – a new launching pad for terrorist attacks on Europe and North America as a whole.

Concerning the Iraq commitment and anti-terror agenda, McCain is simply the only true conservative. He is the only US politician who has the incredible guts to openly and forcefully maintain his pro-war stance against Al-Qaida in the Middle East and in Iraq particularly. The only way to win against islamic terror is to establish permanent US military bases in Iraq, just like the ones in Italy, Germany, England, Bulgaria… etc.

Iraq is on a steady path of becoming an ally to the West, let’s not miss this fantastic opportunity.

If Hillary or Obama wins, it will be because of true conservative voters not going out to vote for McCain. I’m saying this but I know I don’t need to – because in the bottom of your hearts you think the same.

Best regards,

French4Bush

First, thanks to you and your countrymen for dumping Jacques Chirac; Nicolas Sarkozy is a tremendous improvement.

Second, thanks for your support of George Bush.

Third, thanks for recognizing the clear choice between McCain and Hillary/Obama. Some on this side of the Atlantic can’t seem to recognize (or are unwilling to admit it) the difference.

Interesting. McCain is pro-Al-Qaida in the Balkans and wants to close the GITMO prison and bring the prisoners into our court system.... All the while he refuses to support actual perimeter security and defense of the territory of the United States.

There is no “true conservative”, as an American would understand the term, in this race.

The “war on terror” (actually, a war with Islam) is FAR larger than Iraq’s new Shi’ite Iran-friendly government with Islam in its constitution. None are willing to engage the other end of this Islamic axis of evil - Saudi Arabia. In fact, no one seems willing to do anything about the end of that axis they actually admit exists (or aren’t bought off by yet) - Iran.
