I voted like a good little republican in 2006, even though I had to hold my nose to do so. Please stop blaming us, the voters for that loss. The blame rests squarely on George W. Bush and the wimpy GOP leadership. It was amnesty that lost them the election and now they are going to force it on us anyway with John McCain. Does that not anger you?

Blaming the voters is like blaming an abused wife for getting beat up by her abuser husband. At some point, the abused has got to gather up enough self esteem to say, “enough is enough”. I’m leaving even though it will make my immediate future very difficult - but in the long run - for the good of me & my children, it’s the right thing to do.

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. Change has got to start somewhere.

And yes, I plan to vote for conservative republicans down the ballot from President. I just refuse to vote for John McCain.

I have been sick to death about McCain. I was for Fred, for a time Huckabee, then settled on Romney. McCain was my worst fear because he is a snake in the grass, he will turn on us since he always does, and I feel he is unstable.

In other words - the third worst candidate we could have out of McCain, Hillary, Obama. So, rather than give to the democrats - I have to go with McCain.

But, we cannot survive if we are not willing to stay in the fight. They want us out of the voting booth which is why they are bringing in so many illegals for voters. How does it help us to give them our vote?

We are going to have to work within the GOP because it would take too, too long to go third party. But, there is nothing to say we cannot grow in numbers and power in the GOP.

I suggest that we have a name so that we can identify other conservative fighters fighting back in the GOP - something to provide support, ideas for fighting back within the GOP without giving up the pitiful little power we already have.

That way at least on FR we would identify like fighters as we seek to turn the tide and work against the liberals instead of our own imperfect ones.

Time is wasted continually making macho statements, if ..... doesn’t do this, he will lose my support. Frankly, they do not care. They are not conservative enough to begin with so, if we quit, they will just go their own way in peace being more and more liberal.

But with the band of fighters we can move an inch here - another inch there. Never backward, but forward and never by giving our vote to the opposition but working in the system so that we can get a candidate to run.
