OMG- Chris Matthews is COMPLETELY over the top.
He JUST reported The Politico story- as IF it hadn’t been denied all OVER the cables and blog ALL DAY LONG. As if it’s still a viable rumor...
Someone needs to smack that SOB.

Things aint over, indeed tonight is just the beginning.
Fred in is this for a reason, and the other players are doing exactly what was expected. The story tonight will be Mitt and Huck.

I probably wouldn’t want her having a key to my house but in a fight, I’d want her on my side. She may be a mercenary but I’d want her to be my mercenary!

Have any of you seen these two links regarding who started the false rumors of Fred's dropping out? The blog post below at race42008.com was begun by poster 'Jason Bonham' (yes, anyone could have signed on with that user name) at 8:16 pm last night. The prominence of the same name being a co-founder of the mymanMitt site (and travelling with the candidate in Iowa) is very interesting:

Chris Matthews is such a boob.
Truly can't believe that * anyone * fell for the very liberal Politico's hit job.
Saw the piece about Fred on Friday... ignored it because the sources -- advisers? -- were not named. Thus, it was hogwash.
Sorry, Fred had to waste much time today dispelling the rumor.

The Fox News coverage interviewed some idiot from Politico as part of their ‘blogger’ (i.e., internet political wanker) coverage. He dodged left and right when asked about the Fred dropping out story. And then basically all-but-gave McCain a sloppy wet kiss on national TV. Truly despicable.
