Bipartisan lameness

The GOP is happy today about the approval of the $555 billion omnibus appropriations bill. Tactically, it does constitute a victory: the Dems caved once again, in spite of the fact that they hold both houses of Congress. Bush held strong, and as a lame duck, he's showing himself to be anything but lame. There are even videos being made, with symbolic representations of just how pathetic the 110th Dems are.

However, there are some folks on our side who are not so happy about this victory, and arguably with good reason.

For example, Redstate is unhappy that they didn't go for a continuing resolution instead.

Michelle Malkin points out that the omnibus bill is harmful to the cause of protecting our borders.


We can also thank members of both parties for an energy bill that does nothing to....
