I told Bill Cunningham that the majority of his audience probably know that Duncan Hunter is so effective on border security, but might not know about Hunter's very strong pro-life commitment (and I gave a couple of examples), and Hunter is just as pro-life as Huckabee, if not more so. Cunningham said that Hunter was at the mainstream of Ronald Reagan conservatism.
Cunningham said his friends disagree with him when he tells them he cannot support Rudy Giuliani, so I told Cunningham that IF it's Rudy, I will vote 3rd party. That's the "Reader's Digest" version of my call.
Bill Cunningham said he will probably have Hunter on his radio show next Sunday.
If you want to call Cunningham yourself, his number is 1-800-843-2441, but call right at 10 p.m., Eastern Time, to be sure to get on. Cunningham's screener told me he has around 350 radio affiliates when I asked. (Drudge's old time slot.)
I heard that Cunningham has around a million listeners, so if that's true, just like that, we're getting Hunter's name out to a million voters, possible donors, etc.
Laura Ingraham loves Hunter, and Laura is on M-F, 9 to noon, and her number is 1-800-876-4123.
Another one is Dr. Richard Land, who is on Saturdays from noon until 3 p.m., Eastern Time. I think he has the most affiliates on the 2 - 3 p.m. hour. I called at that time and didn't have to wait too long. I started with a couple of social issues that Hunter stands for, and then mentioned other issues, like borders.
Dr. Land's phone # to call the show is: 1-888-324-8456. http://www.richardlandlive.com/
You can click to the left and see if the show airs in your area, probably on a religious station, or you can listen online, or listen to replays.
==>Just a few suggestions, but please call the talk show of your choice.
It’s crunch time friends. I hope many of you will also call a talk show(s), and help Hunter get his name and message out, and pick up more voters for the primaries, and donors to his campaign. It’s up to us to help Hunter, if we want the best candidate to be our president badly enough. (If you just “can’t” call a talk show, perhaps you have a friend who likes Hunter who will.)
It will take more than a few of us calling talks shows to get it done. Let’s do it!
There’s no reason why Hunter can’t surge like Huckabee did, if conservatives know the facts. Many religious conservatives are supporting Huckabee because of the social issues, even though they don’t agree with Huckabee on some other issues.
Well, Duncan Hunter is just as strong, if not stronger, than Huckabee on the social issues, PLUS Hunter is conservative on the other issues, that Huckbee is weak on.
Duncan Hunter is 4% in some polls:
http://americanresearchgroup.com/ and John Kerry was 4% 3 weeks before the primaries, but ended up getting the nomination.
This is the most fluid presidential election that I can remember!
I called a local station, and am working on some letters.
This link has when the primaries will be in individual states (right after presidential speeches):
If Hunter has a good showing in the early primary states, he will have more momentum.
When I was out of state I spoke to a gentleman that did not know much about Duncan Hunter. He told me he didn't really listen to Rush, but was a huge Billy Cunningham fan. Hope he was listening when you called and tells his friends about Hunter!
“I called a local station, and am working on some letters.”
WTG!
When I called the “Truckin’ Bozo, I asked if I could give Hunter’s website, and he (Steve) said sure, and repeated the website after I gave it on the air.

“I will try to get through to some of the week-end shows you mentioned.

Glad to hear that you’ll try calling on the weekend. Let’s all have a “Call a talk show 4 Hunter” marathon!!!! For our country’s sake.
We don’t have to call Rush, if it’s hard to get through. There’s a lot of talk shows out there.
If your friend heard me, he probably heard my “ya knows” and some word stumbling, because I get so nervous, but that’s OK. I got my message out. :)

Why the smart money is on Duncan Hunter

Did anyone get the video from Hunter’s appearance on BOR tonight? I was occupied and couldn’t pay much attention to it.
How to shine Sun!!!
Hunter’s getting traction for sure, so let’s speed it up by calling a talk show. :)
“Hunters appearance on BOR tonight”
Cool! Maybe Fox News will have the video.
I was on the phone and couldn’t hear what was going on. I think he was talking about waterboarding and treatment of prisoners.
“Maybe 24 hours?”
I don’t think that even Hunter knows 24 hours ahead of time, sometimes. But when we hear of something, we can let each other know on one of the Hunter threads, or by starting a new thread.
As I said in opening post, Bill Cunningham said that Hunter would probably be on next Sunday on his radio show, but even he didn’t seem to know if it was a done deal.
If I hear anything ahead of time I’ll send out a FReepmail to a couple of you guys who start these threads.
I don’t want to screw up my record of 1 posted thread and 42,460 replies. LOL
It sure is amazing. It’s as if “today’s” polls are set in stone for some people, UNTIL the next poll, lol.
And besides the great examples you gave in your post #12, here’s another one EXACTLY four years ago TODAY!
December 11, 2003
“In a head-to-head match-up between Dean and Congressman Richard Gephardt, 43% of Democrats would now prefer Dean as their nominee while just 32% would prefer Gephardt. Before Gore’s announcement, Dean was preferred by just 36% to Gephardt’s 31%.”

And it was John Kerry who ended up being the Dem nominee!!
Better link to post #18, if anyone is interested:
