We will await a statement from the church board.
It will be a statement, in my opinion as a current pastor, that they’ll make in conjunction with advice from a lawyer.
I can think of reasons why a church might want not to be on record saying they had an in-house, armed security detail. I can think of reasons why a church might want to make it public knowledge that they have such an armed security group in their church.
