Mr Frum is a former speechwriter of President Bush and currently adviser of presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani.
I contacted author David Frum today and he wrote to me that he thought America won't attack Iran in 2008.
He didn't elaborate much, because he was "pressed for time" but I thought if Frum thinks Bush won't do it, there is little chance Bush will do anyway.
Bad news, folks... Bush has just become a dove and Israel is in danger.
Forget him- what is the Vegas line?
Bad news. You are treating as crediable a whiny RINO crybaby who got canned from the Bush White House. Frum knows nothing.
SInce when is Frum the supreme authority on Foreign policy?
I thought it was a valuable opinion, as Frum has ties with the White House, where he worked in 2000-2001.
It is not because you don’t like the opinion that you should attack the one who just REPORTED the opinion.
Well, Frum knows the Bush administration well...
Well there’s still 21 days left in 2007
LOL
Let’s bomb the bastard on Christmas day.
I saw three bombs come flying in on Christmas Day, on Christmas Day in the morning.
He’ll be correct if Israel does the job.
Yes, it is that... an opinion. Frum may have some insight from the neoconservative circles, but he has been out of the Bush administration since 6 years. I doubt that he has some special insight.
I do not think President Bush will share what he is going to do regarding Iran with David Frum. In fact less than a handful of very trusted people, that includes Vice President Cheney, know exactly what President Bush will do toward the the Iranian terrorist regime nuclear facilities. Based on the history of President Bush, I know that he will not allow Iran to acquires the nukes, it is speculation on my part but I am very confident in these speculations.
Frum used to have ties to the White House but not as much anymore and for sure not with President Bush and his trusted advisors on foreign policy. In fact he is one of the cowards who went against the war in Iraq when things were not going well, now that we are winning the war he may have changed his tune as did many other cowards.
I don’t think he became “against the war”.
If you refer about the Vanity Fair’s scoop, it was an hoax.
I contacted Frum about this matter last year and he told me so : http://frum.nationalreview.com/post/?q=MGIyM2M4NzFlNTQwN2QxNzU0MDg4MjNiMjMwYjk4Zjk=
David Frum on Iraq in 2006 : “My most fundamental views on the war in Iraq remain as they were in 2003: The war was right, victory is essential, and defeat would be calamitous.”
If this is the case then I apologize for the comment I made about him regarding the Iraq war although I read some articles in the past supporting what I said earlier about him on this issue.
Here is a post that I wrote this morning about the latest NIE report that details the calamities which Frum was talking about:
>>>>The DUmbos political hacks in the Intelligence community and the State Department are usurping the CICs power and sabotaging his efforts to protect us and achieve total victory in Iraq. These people are out to defeat and humiliate their own country just to get at President Bush.
Nukes aside, and lets assume that the Iraqi population is singing Kumbaya and al-Qaeda-in-Iraq is totally defeated. We still cant withdraw from Iraq and leave behind a strong Iran ruled by Mullahs and a president who talks to a well.
Iran will swallow Iraq whole and threaten the Gulf and the rest of the ME moderate regimes and the world oil supplies.
Adding the strong possibility (certainty, IMO) of Iran developing nukes, there is almost no way to come back and fight them conventionally when they are protected by a nuclear umbrella.
Any US Government official who doesnt understand this situation 100% shouldnt be where he/she is.
If we reach that point, God forbid, we didnt learn anything from the lessons of the Carter years.
I have faith in President Bush wholl take out Iran before he leaves office and will not care about the DUmbos threats to his legacy. He will put the US security above his legacy, as he should. <<<
