Well stop knocking Hunter or I'll have to beat the *bleep* outta ya!
Well Gramma, here's a blast from the not-so-distant past, last June in fact:
I never heard of Duncan Hunter.
Is he some local guy of yours?
Running for city treasurer or sanitation manager or something?

I wish him luck and I'm sure he'll make a jam-up city treasurer or whatever.
County Clerk is pretty rough, though.. I hope he stays away from that. ;-)

Of what? Some local civic association?
Sorry, never heard of him.

Mr. Hunter so far is only a name I hear bandied about by some third-party kooks on FR.
How that equates to the "real world" I have no idea.
Enjoy your unelectable independent candidate.
We had one of those before.. Perot was his name.

Right back atcha, make those non-nominated 83 votes count there Zippy.

It sure won't be an unelectable.
That's like throwing your vote into the trash, no matter how appealing the unelectable is.
I've always enjoyed Duncan Hines cake mixes though, and his donuts are passable.

I'm in Texas.
I never heard of him. He isn't on the radar.
I'm sure his neighbors and pals are rooting for him
and he may be a great guy and a jam-up prospect for President.
So is Eaker.. have you seen Eaker's ads? Do you know his stances on the issues?
Same deal.
He's a great guy but nobody knows about him. Focus on what is possible, not your dream candidate.

Yeah. OK.
Never heard of the mook except from some kooks on FR, but I'm repeating myself.
Carry on, children, and have fun in fantasy land.

There you go Gramma, that's how humblegunner sneers at REAL conservatives like Congressman Duncan Hunter, a candidate that you and I both agree on 100 percent.
To: mkjessup
that's how humblegunner sneers at REAL conservatives like Congressman Duncan Hunter Mostly it's the fanatical kookiness of his supporters that causes me to sneer.

1) STRONGLY pro-life - a 26 year pro-life history NO FLIP FLOP HERE;
2) the only politican that was EFFECTIVE on building a fence at a strategic place on our borders (which made drug trafficking andcrime go down tremendously in San Diego), and author of the bill to build an 854 mile fence which was signed into law;
3) knows his defense: AMONG OTHER THINGS was Chairman of the Armed Services Committee when the Republicans had the majority, fought hard for the missle defense shield, and personally, won a medal in Viet Nam & his son did two tours in Iraq, including Fallujah, and will do a 3rd tour in Afghanistan (so he has a lot a stake);
4) understands the Red China threat and Chinas trade imbalance through cheating;
5) voted for traditional marriage between a man and a woman through HJ Res 88;
6) A+ rating from the National Rifle Association;
7) 100% rating from the Eagle Forum;
(8) 92% rating from the American Conservative Union;
(9)100% from the Concerned Women for America;
(10) 100% from the Christian Coalition;
(11) 100% from the Campaign for Working Families.

The search for Duncan Hunters running mate is OVER! I've been thinking about who Ron Paul would consider. He says he'd only vote for 2 people himself, Kucinich or Hagel. I can't think of anyone else in government who has any kind of relationship (personally or ideologically) with the guy. What do you suppose his pick would be? Lol. It amuses me to think about it. That's another Stockdale moment waiting to happen.

Great post there Sun, but in this thread you’re casting your pearls before swine.

“He says he’d only vote for 2 people himself, Kucinich or Hagel.”
I didn’t know Ron Paul said that. Well, no surprise.
And if Ron Paul would vote for partial-birth-infanticide Kucinich, guess Paul isn’t as pro-life as some of his supporters try to claim.
I just asked my husband who he thought would be a good running mate for Ron Paul, and he said Whoopi Goldberg.

I'm on no one's presidential ping list and still got the threatening Freepmail from Im4FRed.
I don't threaten well, and I'd like to send a message to this particular cretin.....
I will vote for the very devil herself before I vote for Fred Thompson because of your efforts.

His quote is on one of my posts with a link, but I'm on dial up right now and won't go look for it. They asked who he would support if he wasn't running. Says Kucinich is a 'good friend'.

Thanks.
We’re finding out more and more about these candidates, and in the majority of cases, it just gets worse.

I’m not on a Hunter list, I didn’t know there was a Hunter list, and I got Im4FRed’s FR-mail. I have been fairly vocal in my support of Hunter, should I watch my back?

No. The heroes are the people who believe in Hunter enough to work tirelessly for him, to convince people to support him and vote for him.
I’m just doing the easy thing.
To: pissant
How long has it been since Congressman Hunter has been on to talk with us here on FR?
