Lt. Andrew Grayson isn't about to "roll over" and admit to something he didn't do in Iraq. No matter how much pressure or what kind of "deal" the Marine prosecutors (persecutors) bring against him in the alleged Hadithah "killings" that took place two years ago.

The 26 year-old combat vet said he'd been asked to "fall on my sword for the greater good of the Marine Corps. They (the prosecution) wanted me to distort the truth to fit their end goals," he told reporters.

Well, thank God Grayson refuses to be a scapegoat and go along with what the PC-correct prosecutors are trying to pull. The tough Marine lieutenant is not alone. We will be writing soon about Lt. Col. Jeffrey Chessani, as he too is being unjustly prosecuted for something for which he's not guilty.

MARINE LT REFUSES TO CUT "DEAL" WITH PROSECUTION TEAM

The unjust legal proceedings stem from a convoy ambush in Hadithah, Iraq on November 19, 2005 that resulted in the death of 24 Iraqis, some of them in house-clearing operations in the immediate area.

The Marine brass decided to "go after" the grunts involved and even some of their officers, who were not on scene, just to satisfy the media and cheap politicians. They charged Grayson with making "a false official statement and obstructing justice."

"They desperately need someone to roll over," said Joseph Casas, a defense attorney for the young Marine officer. "Lt. Grayson will not admit to any cover up because he wasn't part of one."

The so-called "deal" offered by the prosecution team in reality is professional and personal suicide. If Grayson signs a phony statement he is "guilty," then the lieutenant's career is over. To treat a brave, honorable combat veteran that way is so typical of the atmosphere Marines must work under in Iraq these days.
