You don’t state what your daughter’s major will be, but a no-nonsense college in Michigan is Hillsdale College. It helped in originally founding the Republican Party. They can be found on the internet at www.hillsdale.edu.

We receive a conservative pamphlet from them every month called Imprimis. These are generally abridged excerpts from lectures given by known conservatives (usually) like Tony Snow, Bill Bennett, and Newt Gringrich. Imprimis has been quite informative and I look forward to them coming in the post.

When I read the headline, I assumed it was a tip line for students to report teachers trying to indoctrinate their class.

What a foolish optimist I still am!

My son just graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill (another bastion of liberal nonsense). Even though he was raised on the liberal left coast, we raised him as a Christian conservative who truly retained his family's traditional values and joined with others like him in the University's chapter of Chi Alpha to reject the liberal, atheist b.s. promulgated by the professors of Chapel Hill. He originally chose Chapel Hill over other high-ranking business schools because that even with out-of-state tuition, he would avoid high-crime-rate schools and yet still get a better rate of return on his cost of college education by graduating from Kenan-Flagler.
BTW-He has met and fallen in love with his first Christian conservative girl friend and is working directly with Fortune 500 companies as part of a well-known management consulting company.
Yes, it is possible to find a good college, but if you are seriously interested in finding out how my son received unsolicited free rides at Pepperdine, Oklahoma, Arizona State and others, e-mail me personally.

Or the Soviet Union:

The Myth of Pavlik Morozov, Stalin’s Poster Boy for Patriotism, Unravels
Julius Strauss, writing in news.telegraph.co.uk (Dec. 27, 2003):

Even by the high-octane standards of Stalinist-era propaganda, the storyline was a powerful one.

Pavlik Morozov was a handsome 14-year-old schoolboy who lived in a tiny Siberian village, never played truant, always did his homework and was polite to his teachers. He loved communism so much that when his own father broke the law he informed on him to the authorities.

When Pavlik’s vengeful relatives found out, they sneaked up on him as he was picking berries in the woods with his little brother and stabbed him to death.

For generations the story of Pavlik the boy martyr was taught to tens of millions of schoolchildren throughout the Soviet Union.

The embodiment of fierce Soviet patriotism, he was pronounced Pioneer-Hero No 1 and elevated to the rank of communism’s untouchables. (snip)

That would be the Sean Hannity radio show. He took a number of student's calls today.

p. henry,

Question, did you get a reply?

While paging through the local rag, I noticed a little article for a bias hotline run by the county here in NJ. You can call in and anonymously report bias “incidents.”
Like you, I wrote off a letter of protest to the county in protest against this Stalinist garbage. I’m still waiting for a reply.

“In this new tattletale system, President Nichol is kept up to date on all secret investigations of offending remarks...”

I say something offensive about once an hour...I’d be in big trouble. Oh well, eff ‘em.

I wonder if this had anyting to do with his firing. I could imagine this system of secret investigations of students and teachers for saying anything that might be perceived as politically incorrect could leave the university open to law suits.

You've got to see this article, the SOB has been fired
