Well liberals are always saying that if you have a gun, the criminal will just take it away from you and use it on you, the police will protect you , and that you should just give criminals what they want.
As a liberal living in Anus City, we can assume that she wasn't carrying, so that doesn't enter into it. The police did their usual job of protecting a citizen (ie file a report after the fact) Of course if she were a politician, it would be different, but as liberak as she is, she's still a common nobody as far as the police are concerned. And finally I guess she gave the criminals what they wanted - which was to hurt her. Personally I'm not sure how that criminal taking the gun away from you and using it on you works. If that were feasible, why don't more victims take the guns away from criminals and use them on the criminals?
She can take solace in the fact that in the unlikely event that the thugs who beat her are caught, that in NYC they will surely receive counseling.

She was not mugged. she started this cock and bull story because she emailed her boss saying she could not make it to work because she was mugged. FACT IS -SHE WAS DRUNK AND EITHER PASSED OUT OR WAS PROPELLED BY A BOUNCER. She used to get thrown out of bars when she lived in Ft. Lauderdale. That is how she met her husband.
