Although skeptics of manmade global warming have successfully challenged many of the evidentiary claims made by the alarmists, and the alarmists have conceded errors in the “hockey stick” and in computer models, there is one important aspect of the problem that has not yet been conceded – the relationship between increases in temperature and increases in CO2 emission. Recently a commenter on my blog took me to task for not understanding the relationship, and directing me to a website that claimed this relationship is the “smoking gun” in favor of the alarmists.
If you graph the relationship over a few recent years, as they have done on that website, the graph is open to differing interpretations, but if you graph the analysis of ice-core samples that document thousands of years of temperature and CO2 history, the relationship becomes clear: temperature rises appear to PRECEDE CO2 emissions rises.

I'm not so sure. Gore, like most politicians, is incredibly intellectually shallow. He never even waded through a first semester physics or chemistry class. I don't know how he can make any judgment, except by recourse to authority. The problem with "recourse to authority" is that you can become susceptible to choosing authorities who confirm your prejudices.
My personal take is that a small amount man-made (anthroprogenic, if you will) global warming is probably real, but benign at worst.
Maurice Strong is one of the main brains behind the gw/cc scam. He's currently working with China on expanding their economy and knows well how much they're polluting the world.
Of course they intend to deceive, Kyoto’s carbon trading scheme creates an array of vested interests in maintaining CO2’s status as THE main climate change culprit. Al Gore’s company seeks to set the terms & licensing of CO2 credit trading in the USA. A big upset may be coming however — SOOT IS challenging the conventional wisdom on CO2’s dominant role in atmospheric warming

Al Gore an unwitting patsy? I don’t think so. Al Gore are partner in Generation Investment Management, which purportedly seeks to establish the rules and licensing for a new carbon-trading scheme as well as doing investment management on large funds heavily into environmental resource investments, etc.
Consider Gore’s movie ... propaganda or science?
Tycho on his deathbed, famously cried out, “Let me not have lived in vain.” Tycho’s achievement was real, literally world altering, though he did not know it at the time of his death.
Gore, I suppose, hopes to be remembered as the John Brown or Harriet Beecher Stowe of Global Warming. (J.B and HBS, were likewise incredibly intellectually shallow.)
Intellectual honesty is not useful in a politician, in fact it’s a definite impediment. I think the first person Gore needed to deceive was himself. Once he did that, finding followers was relatively easy.
I never said that, I said Gore is a moron, but well aware that global warming is a scam.
