They have never before been seen by the public.
The images are presented in chronological order using the time/date stamps created by the Scan Eye recording system as the video was being made.
The video we obtained was prepared for the upcoming Article 32 hearing of Captain Lucas McConnell, formerly the company commander of Kilo Co., 3rd Battalion, 1st Marines at Haditha in 2005. McConnell was relieved of command in April, 2006 for alleged dereliction of duty following allegations of murder by members of his infantry company during the day-long battle in Haditha that left 24 Iraqis and one Marine dead, and 11 Marines wounded.
This presentation is intended to refute allegations made in Time magazine and other media outlets which claimed the Marines massacred the Iraqi civilians in a fit of rage following the death of LCpl Miguel T.J. Terrazas, one of Kilo Companys Marines. The cable television network CNN also obtained a copy of this video presentation but for reason best known to its producers elected to disregard most of the exculpatory images contained in it.
[NOTE: Video images with enhancement boxes were altered by selecting the area and brightening it with a Photoshop tool for clarity.
The rectangular white box on each image is the camera target area, designated by the Scan Eagle operator.]

Wow, is it any wonder why the MSM hasn’t published these damning photos? Time magazine and CNN (both owned by Time Warner) are despicable, as is the corporation that owns them. Time Warner should be charged with sedition and put out of business.
Sooner or later we have to come up with some way to sue the bejeezus out of Time and other such scum. This is the most absolute definition of defamation of character and slander. The U.S. government AND the Marines AND every individual involved should file suit.
I think I need to go read my Bible for a couple hours. My hatred of the media is too consuming after reading these 3 posts. In need of guidance.
In the CNN broadcast of this video, none of the insurgents throwing grenades off rooftops or fleeing the scene or rallying in rallying in the palm grove was shown.
Time Warner, as you say, owns a majority stake in the Haditha "massacre" and they are not about to let it go.

Excellent post, Red, as is the three part series.
Can you imagine what a difference if would have made if PAOs had stood up at the beginning and said, "This is what we know about Haditha" and shown this video? Why is it taking US to get this material in front of the public?
And what if SSgt Wuterich had made his statement, not in his hearing, but back in March of 2006? All of this could have been nipped in the bud.
The Corps back office had better do one hell of a "lessons learned".
This three thread presentation is absolutely outstanding work by you and Nat Helms, Red. You both deserve much praise for bringing out the truth.
This along with other info you’ve brought out makes it easier to understand why recommendations in favor of the Haditha Marines and charges being dropped have occurred.
The common sense of Lt. Gen. Mattis and all the IO’s except Conlin have prevailed. Hopefully that common sense will continue with the exoneration of the balance of these Marines, I believe it will.
You’re also correct in saying it would have made a huge difference if the PAOs had come out at the start to make this info known to the public to defend the actions of these Marines. It would have countered many of the distortions and out right lies by the despicable Murtha and the press.
This is all great stuff, thanks to Nat for his hard work. I’d write to my congress critters about this show trial but my rep is murtha and the senators, specter and casey are in bed with the left.
BUMP
The Corps had ample time and opportunity to respond—and still does.
There has never been a public acknowledgement, for instance, that the “cover-up” was actually an error made by a Public Affairs officer, Capt Jeffrey Pool, who sent out an erroneous press release. The impression still remains that the initial misreporting about Haditha was dark work by SSgt Wuterich and his squad.
Capt Pool’s screw up should just be the beginning of the Public Affairs’ “lessons learned” list.
Outstanding, Red. This is remarkable.
Remind me again, exactly WHY are any Marines on trial?!
This is bombshell evidence.
