This book is awesome, I'm reading it now.
Finally the story is made into a book. Hopefully a screenwriter can work on it so it can be made into a movie so the world can see how couregous these Serbian people were ....hiding the airmen, risking their lives, sparing what little food they had to keep them alive. And what a true hero Gen. Drazha Mihailovich was....and always will be!!!

sorry I didn't see this post earlier. These brave airmen were on such a risky mission. Gave me chills reading the turret gunners reports and mission. A must read....thanks for posting!

We have a family member, Willard McGinn of Kansas, who was among the airment rescued during Operation Halyard and is still around today. He told us a bit about his wartime adventures as a B25 crew member and about how the plane went down in Yugoslavia, but this book supplied a lot more exciting details. We call this book, “The Wartime Adventures of Willard McGinn”. General Draza Mihailovich, the Yugoslavian partisan leader, was the true hero of the book.
