Never said that... but it is an influential debate that will put him front and center to conservatives. It will be a lost chance to get his conservative principals across in a friendly forum.

I disagree . There will be more than enough chances to get his message and views out there. You are overstating the importance of this debate.

I agree with you. This is a debate where good conservatives will be asking the questions instead of liberal reporters. I, for one, would like to see how all the candidates handle themselves, especially Thompson, who is being billed by so many as the anti-rudy. Even if the other three refused to attend, Fred Thompson could make considerable inroads into the social conservative vote by his being there. For that matter, so could Mitt Romney, who claims he is also a social conservative. This is a time to put up or shut up.

It doesn’t matter if the MSM shortchanges the coverage of this debate. This is all about playing to the base, not the liberal media.
