LET THE AMERICAN PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT DUNCAN HUNTER.

I have already donated to Duncan several times.

Unfortunately, I don't think this will ignite a huge firestorm of support, and I am someone who loves his politics, as a rock ribbed conservative myself.

In reality, the GOP often gravitates toward the candidate with an affable personality.

More often than not, it is not the MOST conservative and consistent candidate which gets the most support, even in the most Republican of states.

To the contrary, it is the MOST conservative candidate which ALSO has that intangible personality that get them elected in the general election.

It's not always fair, but it is an undeniable fact of political life.

“I have already donated to Duncan several times.<

Well, then, why don’t you donate to him several more times, like so many of us are doing?

The only reason a “huge firestorm of support” has not been ignited, is because the main stream media has done it’s utmost to prevent the American people from knowing about Duncan Hunter!

People are so hungry for someone exactly like him, and THEY MUST BE TOLD HE EXISTS, through every available means open to us. Bumper stickers, letters to the editor, emailing articles about Rep. Hunter to every one we know, attending Republican caucuses, being a delegate representing him at local Republican conventions, etc., etc..

I have been involved in Republican politics for 55 years. How long have you been active in the same? I will admit that I haven’t been this excited about a candidate for president since Ronald Reagan. And I am completely committed to promote this fine gentleman to the best of my limited ability.

Please don’t try to convince me that he cannot be elected. That is counterproductive. Why don’t you discard your negativity and do what the rest of us are doing - our level best to get the very best elected to the most important job in the world, Rep. Duncan Hunter?

Your point is something that has been rattling around in my brain for a while, and this article points out what I’ve been thinking about. Why, after fighting as hard as everyone on FR did to defeat the latest amnesty bill, would they turn right around and support a candidate who disagreed with what they did!!! Or if not disagreeing with it outright, causes one to have to guess, and hope that in the end, they would support our efforts? If everyone who “likes” Hunter, but doesn’t think he could win, would get behind him with money and effort, he would be a shoo-in. (not aimed at you, especially)
