Actually, it is you who are obfuscating. During the ENTIRE debate on immigration reform, S.1664, Thompson never offered an amendment, though he did vote for several dumb ones. Thompson is weak and has been weak on illegal immigration. I’ve read his entire voting record about 3 times now.
S.1664 morphed into HR 2022 after conference. That does not disqualify the debate and amendment votes.
As for the4 Exon amendment, thompson offered nothing even remotely like it. In fact the did not offer any at all.
