,,, Over the past few months I've been saying to friends that in my lifetime there's never been a worse line up of candidates across the board. Over the last two days strategic dexterity on two major counts has shifted my view. Firstly, the selection of Sarah Palin. Secondly, McCain's call for Republicans to take off their Republican hats and put on their American hats as the cyclone approaches the southern coast - that's the sort of call you'd get from a Commander in chief, the sort who wears a Stars and Stripes lapel pin.
I wonder - if the timing of the Democrat Convention in Denver was slotted into the timing for the Republican slot - would Obama suspend worship on a Greek altar from his 75,000 misguided captives under a media induced trance? Probably not. Would he ask to borrow John McCain's lapel pin and would he check to see if it had 57 stars on it?
