.............. AND ....
.........
So there I was.... wondering what the "ideal" ticket would look like in the '08 Presidential race..
As many of you know from previous posts I was looking for a Duncan Hunter / Fred Thompson ticket.
I later scratched Fred Thompson off my "dream team" list for reasons discussed in other threads, and have been "searching" for someone to put in the VP slot of my "wish list".
Well Sarah Palin's name came up in a recent discussion, and I can't believe that I never thought about her as VP material before --- but after further considetation I am seriously thinking I might I have finally found my DREAM TEAM TICKET.
Looking for some FReeper input on this idea......
Thanks !! and here is a link..
Official BIO for Gov. Sarah Palin (Alaska)
looking for advice from FReeperLand !! -— is this the IDEAL ticket or what?
:) Personally, if I was Duncan Hunter, I would want someone old and experienced like Dick Cheney. I would be too distracted by her to ever get anything done. I know, I know. I’m a sexist! So shoot me!
Her or Diana Irey!
WHOO HOO!
Seriously, I do like the idea of a Hunter/Palin ticket. Certainly deserves some thought.
Duncan Hunter / David Osborne ticket?
No women (though she is a good one).
upsdriver.. ok my FRiend.... I was looking at this srtictly from a political standpoint. but since YOU brought it up.. Sarah Palin is a rather attractive individual.. however, the fact that she is a strong conservative is MUCH more attractive in my humble (very happily married with children) opinion.. :)
VERY Flattering.. but no thanks I still like fighting terrorists in Baghdad and chasing drug dealers on the streets of Tallahassee.. maybe later though... :)
Her bio reads pretty good too. Maybe we could get busy drilling at ANWR. Also cut taxes, reduced waste and a lifelong NRA member. I would hope she is prolife.
Is that really her kids names? Track, Bristol, Willow, and Piper? Sounds liked good names for hunting dogs.
a FR search for Sarah Palin yielded this result..,,
The Most Popular Governor - Alaska's Sarah Palin is the GOP's newest star.
If I has seen this sooner, this thread may have posted sooner..... TOWARD VICTORY !!
FReegards,
David
And there is the issue of not throwing a skirt at Hitlery (not that she'd know what it was). Lets stand big, tall, men with deep voices that command attention against that screeching harpy. One harpy is one too many. Terrible. Can't stand it. That's not to say Sarah Palin is a harpy or anything negative for that matter. I don't know anything about her. I just want our top officials to exude strength just by looking at them. Not arrogance. Strength. When they walk in a room they get the E. F. Houghton treatment. Let that first impression be a super one. Can you even imagine the asides at a table full of big wigs sitting across from Hitlery and choaking when she opens her mouth. "Not good Norman, not good."
All IMHO of course.
Personally, I’d like to see JC Watts as VP candidate.
Frwy,
You are not alone in your thinking about “Women in high offices” -— personally speaking it is not an “issue” for me — but is one that must be considered — having said that —— IF America is ready for a female VP -— I think we found the best of the best in Sarah Palin (pronounced PAUL-IN) I think we will be hearing this name more often as we approach 2008
FReegards,
David
pissant,
I think this is the first time I have disagreed with you..
FReegards my FRiend,

Way back in 1984 the Van Halen reality, not the George Orwell novel Alaskas new governor Sarah Palin was an Alaskan beauty queen. She wouldve been 18 or 19 at the time. The only problem with this great tale is that it appears she was in college in Idaho at the time. Meaning, its obviously true. Topless Alaskan beauty queens
hooray for America.
Wonkette operative PN says this is her portrait from those Golden Years. We say shes still the best-looking politician in America
and remember, shes a Maverick!
BTTT
Well, considering that Hunter has no shot at all of being on top of the ticket (not because I wouldn’t want him to, but it’s a fact), the whole premise of this thread is busted. But, I think the name that you’ll see come up a LOT is Charlie Crist, the governor of Florida. He’s not the most conservative Pubbie, but his approval ratings are sky high in a state that absolutely MUST go red for us to have any chance of winning the White House.
I’d rather have Jeb Bush - my favorite governor even though I disagree wtih him and his brother on the issue of immigration, but I don’t think people want another Bush in the White House, at least not yet.
