Excellent article pointing out the claims by Newsweek versus the actual facts. Good catch on Asmaa.
According to Newsweek: The Americans came and asked Jamal, Erhab? Erhab? [terrorism? Terrorism?] and he said no recalled Jamals wife, Asmaa, who was interviewed on videotape by a human rights investigator hired by Newsweek to help report.
From the Lt. Col. Ware's report from LCpl Sharratt's hearing the following Iraqis were interviewed: Khalid (male), Nagham, Nagla, Ehab (three females). There is no indication from the IO's report that any Asmaa was interviewed.
I wonder who Newsweek actuall interviewed and who the human rights investigator was that they hired?

How about Newsweek reporting Hiba’s sad tale but failed to point out that Hiba ran from the house as soon as the grenades went off...
And they say bloggers don’t fact-check...
