BRUCE WILLIS.
Let Willis be Cpt Dinsmore, the Crusading Captain who busts the propaganda plot wide open. Center the story around Dinsmore.
In fact, Dinsmore deserves a medal for standing up to all the power of Congress and Corps.
Sure. We just need enough wiesenheimers to supply material.
He sure does.
Agreed! And I hear Jeff Dinsmore has been promoted to major.
Never a more deserving promotion.
Oh my, I’d have to think about that for a while! But maybe Hollywood would agree to play the discredited writer of this POS propaganda. It’s the least he could do for participating in something that so heinously lies about men who were once his “brothers”. Hope he never expects any of these men to have his back because he’s burned his bridges. Though since he’s acting in a movie that disses the military (and Marines in particular) he’ll probably end up having a great career since this is their favorite type of movie. He’ll be hired by all the “great” lefty directors. All because he was willing to stomp all over his brothers to star in a lie. Marines are being exonerated, but why let facts get in the way of a good bashing.
I want you to think about this Hollywood...these men will forever have their reputations tarnished because many, many people will never believe it wasn’t a slaughter. Their only crime was fighting some VERY bloody battles in a war the left doesn’t like (so what else is new). Your movie will be the one thing that keeps the myth alive. Newspaper and magazine articles will fall by the wayside to be replaced by the next “big” story. But your movie will be available at every Blockbuster across the nation. They’ll probably be able to buy it at their local Walmart. You should send them all a Thank You for helping you launch your career. But when you cash those residual checks I hope you also remember the financial devastation these families have faced.
If it were me, I’d be so guilt-ridden I couldn’t sleep at night. Before all the FACTS came out that cleared these Marines, I can (sort of) see how you could defend your movie. If all you had was the media image of Haditha it wouldn’t be hard to imagine them guilty. But now that the truth is out, your movie is just another lying piece of propaganda that will forever taint honorable men. It makes me sick! Like I said, I wouldn’t be able to sleep. But then in your fairy tale world you can just take a pill for that can’t you?
Cindie
Well said, Cindie.
BTW, I screwed up the title of this movie. It's The Battle FOR Haditha, not of.
I have all the previous FR threads under the Keyword: Battle For Haditha.
I have tried and tried again to watch this trailer but I can’t seem to get through it. The implication that my son just shot people for the heck of it is just too hard to take. This is a disgusting film, by a disgusting director with an equally disgusting cast. I pray my son never gets to see it.
YOUR SON is a hero! I hope I did not offend you by wanting to make fun of the actors on the still photos.
I’ve written to the lawyers, hoping they can stop this piece of crap from being shown.
Since that doesn’t seem to be happening, the only way to make this movie disappear is to make it fail financially.
The worst thing is that real Marines are involved in the movie and are lending it a legitimacy which it doesn’t deserve.
Any Marine should be ashamed to have anything to do with this piece of sh-t. It’s time they denounced it.
I’ll ride on the luggage rack - just as long as I get to be part of the fun. I’ll even bring my own Ipod so music won’t be a problem... Grandma needs a break!
Alec Baldwin for the “budding journalist” and Sean Penn as Tim McGirk...
Definitely not offended. At least somehow we could get a bit of a “chuckle” out of all of this.
First the exoneration and then the last laugh.
>> The film is being marketed, however, as a true story.
There’s a bigger story to be told that will eventually cast the purveyors of hate and lies to the halls of shame. These fools are pissing into the wind while preaching the deeper meaning of wisdom and self-control.
A British film called Battle for Haditha from director Nick Broomfield sets it sights on Iraq. Broomfield has provided a cinema verite style partly "imagined" account of a real incident in 2005 when US Marines killed 24 non-combatant Iraqis as an act of revenge.
That’s where Girlene is! I forgot she doesn’t get a FR signal in Canada.
