Fred is an avowed Federalist, and that means small government, lower taxes, sovereignty. His entry into the race will be an influx of new ideas and a way to communicate those ideas. It will be a campaign far different from any we have ever seen.
Duncan, good conservative that he is, doesn't have the name recognition. BUT as a VP he would have the pulpit he needs to become known to the rest of the country and the springboard to ready himself for the future.
And Fred is saying a lot of things that don’t mesh with his past record.

You may get your chance to run Thompson for president, but I guarantee Hunter will not be picked for the vp slot, no matter who gets the nomination. He might get a cabinet slot, but even that is doubtful.
In the event of Thompson getting the nomination, I would bet he will go with Romney or Guilianni. Wouldn’t it be a hoot if he picked McCain? No matter which way it goes, I will hope for the best. However, I believe it will be another four years wasted.
