PravdABDNC tried to make this Me Lie II except that they were the only Liars. This would have never happened if Turda hadn’t pushed it for selfish political gain.

Pray for W and Our Troops

"The evidence recently presented to Mattis by Chessani’s defense team shows that Pool’s press account was an intentional misrepresentation. Pool was informed about the civilian deaths before he wrote the press release."

So, there was a coverup--just not the one the media and Murtha talked about. Why is Pool walking around free, instead of making little rocks out of big ones somewhere?

The Bargewell Report (given to the NY Times and Washington Post—but not released to the public) suggested it was less of a cover-up than indifference.

Officers at division just had bigger priorities. Bargewell faulted them for that. So if someone wants to claim “cover-up”, yes, it was up the ladder from Chessani. In my view, though, these things only look like a cover-up in hindsight.

I see thing like this happen all the time in the business world. I’m sure you have as well.

I think that pretty much covers it. In Murtha's and Times Magazine world, a cover-up is whatever they say it is. The folks at NCIS who thought this was a good idea to charge coverup must not have been dealing with a full deck. They had the answers early on about Pool's press release from the Bargewell Report and from their own interview with Capt. Pool. They chose instead to follow Times lead, go to the dark side, and insist there was a coverup. If they hadn't drug so many lives through the mud, it would almost be funny how foolish their whole case is.

The way NCIS handled this investigation goes back to the whole “Whack-A-Mole” idea. When exculpatory pops up, agents just whack it down.

BTW, I got some great material for a new “NCIS Funny” on that very theme.

Does it involve Barney Fyffe?

John Murtha is an eager, dishonest, delusional propagandist for our worst enemies. In time of war, in the face of a very difficult struggle against the terrorist onslaught, John Murtha chose to propagate enemy disinformation and work energetically to undermine our Marines and our war effort. What does that make him?
