I was being sarcastic. :-) Of course the current administration can't admit that it knows where the weapons are, because then they'd have to make good on their word with respect to those who harbor terrorists and take action against Syria (and probably Lebanon too).
...and so we play the "Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!" game.
I had some "interesting" jobs during my 13 year stint as USAF/AD and although I can't disclose much, and will neither confirm nor deny... vehicles, people, and mechanized weapon systems are easy for us to identify track, and target from space.
I'm having difficulty trying to determine what the value was in letting the weapons move occur though. Have you read Isiah 17? He basically writes that Damascus will become a "ruinous heap". Damascus is the longest continuously occupied city in the history of this planet. It was founded by one of Noah's grandsons (Ur I "think"). It's NEVER been unoccupied by people, so it's destruction must be in the future. With what's been boiling over in the middle east in our lifetimes, along with modern weapons and their capacity of destruction we (and others) have the capability of destroying cities such as Damascus, whereas in times past, only God could do such things.
So if we all "see" Damascus become a "smoking hole", we'll know that we also saw Isiah 17 come to pass.
