That could be. But with so many names on it, I have a hard time recalling who asked when.

Dear SierraWasp,
“...and you dropped in to distract and challenge, etc.,...”
The very title of this thread is a challenge to the 99% of conservatives who don’t support Mr. Hunter as their first choice.
In that Free Republic is a forum where conservatives debate and discuss questions of just this sort, it seems a little disingenuous to post a thread like this and expect no challege back at all. LOL.

You should differntiate conservatives with rank and file GOP voters who are getting polled by the MSM. In surveys of activists, bloggers and tuned in conservatives, Hunter is running a strong 2nd to Fred.

That’s fine, debate sitetest on the issue. I frankly think Fred is a wet noodle republican. I’m just saying instead of wanting them to leave, I’d rather see Hunter fans engage them in debate. I don’t want to be like the Fredheads who get the vapors when I invade Fredthreads. Hunter easily stands up to scrutiny, so I have no fear of any debate, no matter how its framed.

Dear pissant,
“You should differntiate conservatives with rank and file GOP voters who are getting polled by the MSM. In surveys of activists, bloggers and tuned in conservatives, Hunter is running a strong 2nd to Fred.”
I wouldn’t want to confine “conservatives” only to activists, bloggers, and “tuned-in conservatives.” I’d prefer to define conservatives somewhat broadly. Otherwise, “ALL conservatives” becomes a very small, and perhaps somewhat irrelevant group of folks.
Even if we determined that the number of “conservatives” is only 40% of registered Republicans, that would still mean that Mr. Hunter is receiving perhaps 2.5% of the support of ALL conservatives.

Yes, but there is only maybe 20% of the GOP primary voters that are paying close attention at this time. that might be even generous.

Thank you!I have been on the Hunter band wagon for a long time every since I heard him speak and also read about him..all I could get my hands on for that matter..I don’t want any of the Fred Thompson stuff for president I want Duncan Hunter maybe Fred could be his VP..The MSM will not put stuff out there about this great man because they do not want a person with integrity and compassion to get near the white house again..It is up to us to spread the word..

Dear Calpernia,
“You said that at post 50.”
I assume you mean that I said at post 58 that I don’t want to be pinged.
But I didn’t say that at all.
I said:
“If Hunter supporters dont want folks on their threads who dont view Mr. Hunter as our first choice for the nomination, then dont ping us!”
The question here is not whether I want to be pinged. In that I asked to be on the ping list, of course I want to be pinged.
The question is whether HUNTER SUPPORTERS wish to ping us. If you don’t want to ping us, then don’t. If you prefer to purge the ping list of folks who aren’t currently supporting Mr. Hunter as their first choice for the nomination, then do so.
But I’m on the ping list, and I’m there because I asked to be.
And I responded in the first place because I was pinged.
