Who's With Me?

As we face greater threats than ever before the question "who's with me" comes to mind. Americans are being bombarded on all sides with rhetoric. There are troops who have done several tours of duty in the war on terror. We are by all accounts spread thin. The lunatics in North Korea and Iran are growing bolder.

The totalitariarian regime of North Korea is the "blank slate" theory of behavior modification run amok. It is the nightmare scenario magnified exponentially. The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (D.P.R.K.) is truly an Orwellian horror story. The civilians of N. Korea live in hell on earth. Imagine if you can, an existence in which the lone voice in your head tells you that everything around you is a lie. A small glimmer of hope still shines somewhere deep in the recess of your subconscious but you dare not speak it. All day long you are bombarded with the party line that Dear Leader is right. Any deviation from this path ensures your death and the torture, re-education and ultimately, the death of your loved ones as well. This is Kim Jong il's creation. He has made mindless slaves of his people. The neural pathways have been set and reinforced to a degree we free people can only imagine. Kim Jong il has set his people on evil and there is no reset button. The civilians (if you can call them that) have been drilled into thinking that Kim Jong il is some sort of demigod. His military is beyond redemption. God Help any of our servicemen who are captured by this maniacal freak and his minions. God help South Korea as well.

We best bring back the draft until we have a reasonably sized military.

Not necessary. The Reagan era buildup proved we can have a military about twice the size of today’s w/o a draft. It’s just a question of how much money we’re willing to spend.

It might be up to some of us older guys to get back in. I’m 40 did about 6 years in the Corps, my kids are six y/o and under. If they are going to have a future its gonna be up to US. I see no help coming from our allies. The birth rates in Europe are horrendous. The U.S. may have to allow polygamy. Imagine the headaches of more than one wife! Just kidding ladies.
