Irritating, isn’t it? Virtually all state governments are in clear and blatant violation of amendments two and ten, among many, many others. The NRA is doing the best it can in the current political climate, IMO; however, when civic ignorance has reached an all-time high, and popular respect for the rule of law has reached an all-time low, it’s difficult to fight the power of the masses and their elected representatives, the media, the faculties of most colleges and universities, legions of hungry and amoral lawyers, and many others besides. In a sense, it’s a miracle the NRA has done as well as it has done.
