We are holding Rudy and Mitt to the fire about their past on abortion. Lets not forget Fred Thompson.
Abortions should be legal in all circumstances as long as the procedure is completed within the first trimester of the pregnancy. Link
A very strong statement from Fred Thompson when he was running for congress.

I'm sorry, I just will not consider changing one's mind two years before running for President to be something to bet on, even if there were actions. It's simply not equivalent to Thompson's record, because there's virtually no chance that Thompson had already decided to run for President in 1994.
I respect your support of Romney, am glad for his pro-life actions while Governor of the Bay State and will vote for him enthusiastically if he's the nominee. But we're going to have to agree to disagree on this.

There are still 3 to 4 thousand babies dying horribly every day, and he appointed justices who seem to be demonstrating that theyre not really that interested in acting to stop that. Theyre little more than bureaucrats. You're ignoring the President's record on this issue other than judges, which could hardly be better. You're also ignoring the fact that the judges and justices he's appointed could hardly be better. So, if you're not happy with Dubya on this issue, it's virtually certain that you will not be happy with anyone on this issue that's either in the race now or likely to get in.
In all seriousness, you'll be better off focusing on how you can help with non-political straegies. Life Dynamics has a great program, I think it's called Access, that would be more worth your time. Those sorts of efforts, cultural efforts and state-level political efforts like holding clinics to safe medical practices are where we will advance, and you won't be holding unreal expectations.

I think you need to give more than a passing thought to the facts of abortion in this country, friend. Try to understand what these people are doing, and don’t just listen to the lip service they’re paying.

Try to understand what these people are doing, and dont just listen to the lip service theyre paying. Try thorazine. And while you're at it, look up Askel5 wherever she posts these days and ask her how that "the GOP leadership is a pro-abortion coven, and I'm going to denigrate fellow pro-lifers for not going along with me on that" thing worked out for her here on FR.

How hard is it for you to simply hold a firm line on the self-evident personhood of the innocent unborn?
