All IVF clinics require couples to sign an agreement stipulating what will be done with the embryos in the event of divorce/separation or death or cessation of payment of storage costs (though in practice, in the event of non-payment, most clinics just keep storing them indefinitely if they can’t locate the owners to confirm that they no longer wish to keep them stored). Options are discard, donate to research, or donate to another patient (which is not an option in many cases, due to a variety of meddlesome federal and state laws, and also some real medical/ethical factors).

That may be true, however, I do not see how someone simply because they are divorced can kill their babies. Moreover, I do not see how Father’s Rights is more important than the lives of those babies that he wants to kill.

Prayers for the mother and her commitment to give the gift of life.
