John McCain's blog is not being kind to him today. See link.
Ouch. How long before that thread is pulled?
It’s been going since yesterday....
No kidding. All of the posts trash McCain. This one is pretty typical:
“Please resign from the US Senate. We have had enough of you McCain. Like most of the people in Washington you long ago fogot that you work for us! The whole lot of your are pathetic. You are allowing illegal foreigners to invade and destroy this nation. You are unfit to be in the US Senate. The American people long ago repaid you for your past service to this country. Go home, go away!”
JUST A SNIPPET OF THE POSTS:
Mr. McCain, you are a traitor should you continue to pursue a course that grants any type of amnesty or citizenship to millions of law breaking illegal aliens. Yes, many work hard, yet by their simple presence, none are honest people. Therefore, you seek to reward the dishonest and the criminal, and thereby betray the American people. You will never get a vote from me, or from anyone in my house. Nor will any candidate who has a pro-illegal immigration position, regardless of positions on any other policies or platforms. You should be ashamed to support a position that undermines the safety and stability of the United States, not boldly marching as a champion for the rights of non-citizens.

I’m a lifelong Republican, but if this goes forward, I will be shifting my support. I cannot believe that Sen. McCain could support a compromise that undermines existing laws of this country. Obviously my belief was wrong. Call it what you will, but this is amnesty. I’m getting so fed up with the problem of illegal immigration that the only bill I will support at this point is one that jails every illegal captured and severely punishes any employer of them with fines that will get the attention of others with similar ideas. The fines could be used to offset the cost of enforcement and securing the border as well as the cost of detention of those caught. All this discussion is a waste of time in Washington when we have other serious issues to contend with. I say enforce existing laws and when the illegal immigrants find themselves without jobs, they will have no choice but to return home.

I’m going to add another comment to the one I already made. A police officer was shot to death last week up in Wisconsin during a traffic stop. The offender got out of his car and shot the officer in the face. He was captured a short time later and guess what? He was an illegal alien, high on drugs, obviously an alien in possession of a firearm (another offense), and he was found with over five different counterfeit green cards and social security cards. Each had a different name which was likely someone’s stolen identity. Is this what we want in this country? I think not! The sad part beyond the officer’s death is that Wisconsin is one of the states without a death penalty. When convicted, this guy will lounge in a state prison. How unfortunate he didn’t commit his crime in Texas where he could be dealt with. Now add the cost of his free lawyers, the cost of his trial, the cost of imprisonment. Thank you Sen, McCain for making more of this possible in the future.

Before your post is removed I’d like to respond. You never read about stories like this. CNN runs feel good stories about GOOD hard working illegals. But what about stories like yours and mine. My friend was raaped and muurder by an illegal at the house to do work. She was brutally muurdered her cellphone stolen and all her contact in the phone called and told by the illegal what he had done. Our neighbor entire family was kiilled by an illegal in California while he drove on the wrong side of the road. 12 americans are kiilled each day by an illegal (not including car accidents). Our leaders only lead us on a path of destruction. You know its crazy when France seems to be more conservative then the US.

Dumb.....Look at the past. Over the years as our government hasn’t inforced its laws the law breakers spread out over the nation and took better paying jobs then the last generation of illegals. Most of construction and landscaping is done by illegals. My husband was in construction and is now working a a painter for the union. What in gods name do you think will happen when first we legallize 12-20 million uneducated person and second we bring in another 1/2m (that will never leave!). Every and I mean every Pipe fitter, electrician, plumber, mason working out of the union halls will be displaced by an “New” american. I don’t think its okay to take our AMERICAN DREAM away and give it to an illegal. Our fathers fought in WWII our grandfathers in WWI. We as a family have been paying taxes since taxes were made law. WHY oh WHY do you think its okay to take our job away (we have 3 kids and a mortgage) and give it to someone else? ITS MY AMERICAN DREAM TOO!
You are at least two days late by assuming yesterday was when it began. I believe I first read the rips beginning on Sunday. McLame deserves every hit he gets.
I just noticed that it has a “flag as offensive” link. They are all pretty offensive to McCain. A nice gag would be to push the link on all of them just to rub his nose in it.
I hope they keep it up!
