Honestly a goddess
Consider this a thank you card, PJ.
Because his sexual predilections would make John Waters uncomfortable, he remains a DUFU favorite; any ambiguously gay, scatological or otherwise perverse statement from a DUmmie can and will elicit a post to the effect of "is that you, benburch."
Adding to that impressive resume, benburch is also an advocate for sex workers' rights.
Frank, does that sum it up?
Yes, that's a good summary.
Fat Che is also a romantic, imagining himself as some sort of guerrilla revolutionary bringing down the "established order."
Of course, Fat Che has forgotten that since the mid-1970s, he himself has been part of that "established order;" one can find nothing on the hippie agenda that was not passed into law, or at least gained social acceptance, by 1980. The Age of Aquarius has been here quite a while, and is now winding down.
But Fat Che still imagines himself as a warrior against.....a long-dead phenomenon (when the "establishment" was white male Protestants).
I have no idea what is worse, in the psychological sense; tilting against windmills, or battling nonexistent phenomenonae.
Fat Che has oftentimes made threats against the lives of the president and other political figures, and against members of freerepublic in general.
Fat Che was banned from DUmmieland about a year ago, because despite that my fellow alum "Skinner" gave him several gentle warnings that some of what he was posting was not kosher, Fat Che blithely ignored those warnings, thus betraying a contempt not only for authority, but for my fellow alum.
Fat Che is a big guy--and not young either--whose belly sags down in front of him as if an apron.
If I lived in a metropolitan area I’d possibly have the same feelings about driving (although I’d still own a car). But out here in the super boonies, one needs a car. Heck, when we went golfing Monday, it was 45 minutes South in Seneca. Then, we stopped in Mendota on the way back, for lunch and a couple brewskies. You just can’t hit all those pretty golf courses without a ride. Oh, and we pay the driver $5 for gas. I’m not sure that’s enough, now.
But I generally put only 9m miles on my Jimmy a year. My Jimmy’s a 2000 and it has only 65m on the odometer. It’s the wife who puts the miles on, driving from Rochelle to DeKalb (or even further if visiting other stores) every day.
We’ve talked about trading the Jimmy for a pickup because we want to get back into trailering. But with gas the way it is, that’s been back-burnered.
South Florida is actually very public transport friendly. Tri-Rail serves the three county area. In Dade county you can transfer from Tri-Rail to Metro Rail to go to downtown Miami. In downtown Miami, there is a FREE People Mover. It is a Robotic train that goes in a circumference all around the city. Considering that it costs about $20 bucks to park in downtown Miami, that is an easy alternative.
Then I’ll NEVER be able to take over the DUFUs from you, PJ! Drat!
Don’t worry Charles, according to the actuarials, PJ faces a higher risk of “criminal interface” by riding public transit.
Great story from a Chicago CTA: Going from LaSalle station to The Cell, a bum gets into the bus just as the doors are closing. He’s not real vocal but is mumbling to no one in particular.
Suddenly, he’s benburch...Drops trou, spreads his cheeks and proceeds to pull his stump and rub his rectum on one of the center-poles.
PJ, the moral of the story is, put a large pack of Clorox wipes in your gayman-purse.
BTW, one of my father's jobs was a bus driver for the CTA.
I’m not a big fan of public transportation, but if you live in a major city it takes care of a lot of hassles!
And, I’m sure he would come home after his shift and the first thing out of his mouth to your mom was
“Ya’know honey, I thought I’d seen it all until...”
There, I finished it!
****[President Romney thanks you for that prediction.]****
PJ, I know you are pandering to Chuckles here, but go easy on that “President Romney” thing.... Otherwise the rest of us might get sick!!!!
One reason why I rarely go to downtown Ft. Lauderdale is the parking problem. By taking Tri-Rail and the shuttle bus, it is easily accessible. Miami actually has a really good public transport situation. In addition to Tri-Rail they have Metro-Rail (free transfer from Tri-Rail) and the People Mover for downtown Miami. Neither feels like the bus thing and are actually quite FUn to ride. Also it costs about $20 to park in downtown Miami so that is a factor too in why I rarely go there. There is even a Metro-Rail stop near Calle Ocho which is a great place to grab Cuban coffee. People Mover is an automated robotic system with no drivers that take you all around Miami including Bayfront where there are a lot of kewl shops and boat trips.
Bottom line: I'll still be driving around but with the price of gas, I will go longer distances via public transport. It still flabbergasts me that commuters who live not far from Tri-Rail and work near Tri-Rail or connector stops don't use that service more what with gas over $3.00 per gallon and parking up to $20 per day.
